This is my Apogee Jam. I use it to play and record music on my guitar. I do also have a Marshall amp, but it’s usually way too loud and the sound quality just isn’t as good (since it’s a cheap and crappy amp). Most often I hook it up to my iPad and use Amplitube to play and Garage Band to record. Sometimes I hook it up to my Mac (usually when my iPad battery is dead).
