Duvet

High Resolution

Since it’s winter, it sometimes (so far it has happened twice) gets down to around 15C at night here in Bangalore. That’s a little too cold for me to sleep in comfortably. Since we don’t really have any sort of heating, our only resort is thick blankets. As a child, I had ashtma so I couldn’t use the usual razais that everyone else used (they absorb a lot of dust which would trigger my asthma). To get around this, we had my grand aunt who lives in New Zeland bring us a copule of Duvets that weren’t made from cotton and as such did not absorb dust. I’ve slept in this one since I was around 6 or 7 years old (when I’ve been at home and cold, that is). It’s the best bedding equipment I’ve ever used. Like they say, the best things are made to last.

This week’s theme is “Winter”. Unfortunately we don’t really have a winter to speak of. Things just cool down a little. But, that’s one of the things I love about this city. I can walk around in a pair of shorts and a t-shirt on any given day of the year and be totally comfortable.

This pair of shorts and jersey however, are special. My parents were recently in Barecelona, so I had them to go Estadio Camp Nou and pick up this Barca kit for me. I’m pretty psyched to own one of these!

Photography

I figure this as as good a time as any to reflect on the status of this blog. I think it has gone pretty well so far. I’ve cheated a bit, but at the very least I’ve gotten the photos up eventually. I also think I’ve now taken a couple of photos that I’m pretty proud of and happy with. I’ve also had a lot of fun doing this so I’m going to keep it going :)

I just printed and framed a photo I took for this blog. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I’m going to drill a couple of holes on a wall in my room and put it up there. This will be the first non functional and purely decorative thing that I’ve ever put up in my room. I think it’s a sign that I’m growing up.

Side View Mirror

I had to go to the airport tonight to pick up my parents. They’re back from Barcelona (with an original Lio Messi jersey they bought at Estadio Camp Nou for me!). I took this while waiting in the parking lot for their flight to arrive.

On a (hopefully) funny note, I used to think a side view mirror was called a “sidegue mirror” for the longest time. I thought “sidegue” was a word that was intended for that specific mirror. I don’t remember when exactly I realized it was just “side view”, but it was really, really late in life.

iPhone Flashlight Explosion

Similar to the previous shot, but with more light. I think it looks sort of like an explosion of light. I like how this time the iPhone label is visible, but the Apple logo isn’t.
