My photo a day blog

Light Streaks

High Resolution

I haven’t had a lot of time to shoot the past few days, so I’ll be posting a bunch of photos I shot later and back dating them.

I first attempted a shot like this a few months ago with Sabina on Montebello (it was her idea). Back then I had the ISO cranked up to 3200, so the shot was grainy. This time I knew better and set the shutter speed to 30 seconds, and the ISO to 100. I’m quite happy with the way it turned out.

Moon From Alice’s

High Resolution

This week’s theme is night. As I said before, I’ve grown to quite enjoy night photography so this theme should be fun :)

I’m back in the Bay Area! I was pretty excited to be back, and my first day here went well. Got a bunch of work done and then went up to Alice’s Restaurant for my ex-boss’s sendoff. Right before we went in, I got a shot of the moon partially covered up by fog. The photo doesn’t do the scene justice, but this is my best attempt.

Through the Glass

High Resolution

This is a view of the Cupertino mountains from near my desk at the office. I really miss waking up to views like this.

Roof

High Resolution

I went up to the roof of my house hoping to be able to get a shot of a “landscape”. This was the best I could do. Since my house is surrounded by taller buildings on every side, there really isn’t anything of interest to see. I did like how these rays of sunlight were bleeding through the clouds. Sadly, even that view is disrupted by ugly wires and a tree.
